YOUTH UPCOMING ACTIVITIES and EVENTS

Golden Year Dinner:
The Senior Youth Group is sponsoring a “golden night” out on Saturday, February 18^th, starting at 5:30PM and lasting til around 9:00PM. The “young at heart” will be honored with a dinner and a fellowship. The theme is “THE PRICE IS RIGHT”. Games will follow the dinner. More information will follow as released.
Senior Youth Group: Pizza & Laser Tag:
The Senior Youth Group will be heading out after morning services on Sunday, March 4^th, around 11:30AM to enjoy pizza and trying to “eliminate” his or her opponents. The event will last til around 4:00PM. Sounds like fun. The location will be announced later. Just don’t get in their line of fire! More updates will follow as released. Lake Norman Church of Christ in Huntersville, NC, is hosting the Lake Norman Youth Rally from Friday, March 30^th thru Sunday, April 1^st. Please click HERE to view – a pdf document – more detailed information. You must attend! Our Caleb Sams is the keynote speaker. More information will follow as released.
Senior Youth Group: Waterfall Hike & Picnic:
On Saturday, April 21^st, the Senior Youth Group will heading to the mountains for a scenic hike and enchanting view of a waterfall. A picnic is planned to provide the energy needed for this adventure. This adventure will take place at South Mountain State Park. More updates will follow as released. Senior Youth Group: Picnic, Fishing, and Kayaking The Senior Youth Group, after morning services on Sunday, May 6^th around 11:30AM, will be heading to Mountain Island Lake for outdoor fun and activities: picnicing, fishing, and kayaking. This super good time will last til around 6:00PM. I wonder who will catch the biggest one? More “importantly” who will stay in the kayak? More updates will follow as released. Graduation Celebration:
Following evening service on Sunday, May 27^th, starting at 7:00PM, there will be a Graduation Celebration and Finger Food Fellowship here at the building. Come and join us as we congratulate our graduating students - young and younger - and wish them the best with their next and future endeavors. More information will follow as released.
Hey? What are you dreamin’ about? I maybe can guess. THAT dream is on the horizon. Yes, the light of Carolina Bible Camp 2012 is starting to show. Your dream is getting stronger each day. I hope and pray that your CBC 2012 will be rewarding and richly unforgetful. CBC for 2012 begins Sunday, June 10^th and ends on Saturday, July 28^th. Here are the weeks for 2012. More information for each week will follow as released:

• CBC Memories Begin: Week 1 - 2012. The first week of Carolina Bible Camp in Mocksville, NC, begins on Sunday, June 10^th around 1:00PM and goes thru Saturday, June 16^th around 11:30AM. Week 1 is for Juniors: 9 to 12 year olds. Start thinkin’! More information will follow.
• CBC Week 2 - 2012. The second week of Carolina Bible Camp in Mocksville, NC, begins on Sunday, June 17^th around 1:00PM and goes thru Saturday, June 23^rd around 11:30AM. Week 2 is for Mixed: 9 to 18 year olds. Are you still thinkin’?! More information will follow.
• CBC Week 3 - 2012. The third week of Carolina Bible Camp in Mocksville, NC, begins on Sunday, June 24^th around 1:00PM and goes thru Saturday, June 30^th around 11:30AM. Week 3 is for Mixed: 9 to 18 year olds. What are you thinkin’? More information will follow.

Did you hear the great news?! Meredith Shuping will be inducted into the North Rowan High School National Honor Society on Thursday, November 10^th. Way to go Meredith! We are so-o-o-o-o-o proud.

YOUTH RECOGNITIONS

This section is dedicated to the KCoC Youth who have received some type of acknowledgment over the last 12 months. That acknowledgment could be an award, an honor, an achievement, a recognition of some type, a reached goal, or an attained decision. Usually that recognition is made known for a short time and then forgotten. Here in this section of the Youth page that special attention will last about 12 months. We need to remember those special moments, which help to edify our Youth. These types of recognition are stepping milestones to better young men and women who will become our Christian leaders of the future. Let's not forget their accomplishments! Our Youth can look here and take pride in remembering that he or she reached another step on the ladder of life.

  • Richmond McNeil, foster child of Diana Merrill, received TWO awards this week: the “Mr. CBC - Senior Male Award” AND the “Senior Camper Award”.

• Our Honors & Awards
  • Levi Carroll, son of Darrell and Betsy Carroll, received the Christian Character Award at his school.
• 
  Our CBC Baptisms (Week 1):
  • Caroline Clary, daughter of Bob & Karen Clary, the granddaughter of Sandie Shane and the niece of Chris & Angie Byrd and of Beverly Shane, was baptized on Friday, June 17^th.
  • Richmond McNeil, foster child of Diana Merrill, was baptized on Friday, June 17^th.

  Our CBC Honors & Awards (Week 1)
  • Alex Zirkle, son of Eric & Kimberly Zirkle, received the “CR Frank Award”.
  • Three of our senior teens who were team leaders captured first, second, and third places in the over-all scoring of the team events.

• Our Honors & Awards
  • Aaron Deason, son of Jeff & Kim Deason, grandson of Ina Ruth Deason and nephew of Sandy Deason was voted the 3A Northern Piedmont Conference “Swimmer of the Year”. Aaron competed in the NC State Championship Swimming Meet on Saturday, February 12^th.
