Nathan Burton – Nate was born in Concord NC and he graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UNC-Greensboro. He works at the Department of Social Services. He is married to his wife Christy who teaches Biology at Hickory Ridge High School and they have one daughter Kaitlyn. He has been a member of Kannapolis church of Christ since 1978.
Lance’s family spends a week at Carolina Bible Camp each summer. It is a week of being immersed in God’s word, encouraging the future of the church. The family comes away more bonded together, encouraged by fellow Christians. Lance also teachers the Sunday morning teenage class.
Lance married his wife, Tiea, on December 31, 1999 at the Kannapolis congregation. They have two beautiful daughters, Victoria and Sophia.
His family is involved in many activities, including the youth, bible school, blood drives, and the Annual Chili Cook off.
Robert L. Lemasters – “Bob” was born New Martinsville, WV ,extensive military schooling,military transfer brought our family to KCOC in 1974, 2 beautiful daughters,Lara and Lisa,moved here with us and our son, Lance, is the only official North Carolinian. The Lord has blessed us with 4 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.
I enjoyed my 32 years of military service and was proud to serve my country. The Lord gave me safety thru wars and tours in foreign countries.
Chris Shuping – Chris was born in Salisbury NC and graduated from North Rowan High School in 1983. He met his wife Andrea at his sister’s wedding and they married in 1987. They have one daughter Meredith, whom they adopted in 1994. Chris was baptized in 1985 by his brother David. He has been a member of the Kannapolis congregation since 2002.
Bret Simoneaux – Born in Pensacola FL, Bret is the son of a Marine and lived in many different locations depending on where his father was stationed. He and his wife Cheryl both graduated from Auburn University with degrees in Engineering. Their daughter, Christie, is a music teacher in the public school system while their son, Kevin, is studying Landscape Architecture at Clemson University. The family became members of the congregation in 1992. Bret and Cheryl have been active as teachers and organizing many different activities for the congregation.
