darrellDarrell Carroll – Darrell and his wife Betsy joined the Kannapolis congregation in 1995. Both have served in activities including Carolina Bible Camp and teaching Sunday school classes. They have one son Levi. Darrell was born in Concord, NC. He served in the military with the US Army and worked in the financial and mortgage business before retiring.

Darrell served as a Deacon before starting his service as an Elder in March 2018.

Elliotte Lawing – Elliotte was Born in Concord, NC.  Elliotte and his wife, Elaine became a member of the Lord’s church in 1975 in Panama (Central America) while he was serving in the Army.  While in the Army, Elliotte managed a large group of cooks.  They have two sons, Chris and Elliotte; that have both obeyed the gospel call.  They started attending the Kannapolis congregation sometime around 1993.  They have also worked at Carolina Bible Camp in the past.

Elliotte started serving as an Elder in 2014.


mikeMike Mobley – Mike, along with his wife, Angela, have been attending the Kannapolis congregation since 1995. He also directly oversees the education program for the Kannapolis church. Mike served as a teach and most recently as an assistant principle in the public school system He is currently retired.  He was a fulltime minister for 15 years for a congregation in West Virginia and North Carolina. He continues to teach in the Bible school program for the church and preach when given an opportunity. When needed, he also writes for the Daybreak Magazine. In 1955, Mike was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he graduated high school. He attended the Sunset School of Preaching and has a Masters degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He and Angela have one daughter, Christy, who is married to Nathan Burton. Their granddaughter, Kaitlyn, was born in 2009. Angela retired from teaching.  Christy is a high school teachers and Nathan works with the North Carolina Department of Social Services.

IMG_0580Bret Simoneaux – Born in Pensacola FL, Bret is the son of a Marine and lived in many different locations depending on where his father was stationed.  He and his wife Cheryl both graduated from Auburn University with degrees in Engineering.  Their daughter, Christie, is an Assistant Principle in public education. She and her husband Carmin live in Fayetteville, NC.  Their son lives in Bend, Oregon with his wife Leila.  The family became members of the congregation in 1992.  Bret and Cheryl have been active as teachers and organizing many different activities for the congregation over the years.

Bret served as a Deacon before starting his service as an Elder in March of 2018
